The Leafygotes are a race of horned cotton-tails known for their oversized horns, inverted pupils, and simplistic appearance․ They evoke a huge range of emotion and expression and are very social creatures at heart.

The Leafygotes are especially setup to work well in VRChat. A Unity package with the avatar fully setup is included, immediately ready for upload!

The package will include a fully-involved avatar, including fully setup Avatar Dynamics, Physbones, and Digitigrade leg setup. A Quest and PC fallback will be made in a future update.

Expressive Facial Expression and Tracking.

The Leafygote's facial mesh structure was specifically designed to work well with facial deformations and allows these creatures to be incredibly expressive. The avatar mesh also comes with a face rig so that you can create your own expressions or add support for different face tracking systems for example. Fits like a face-glove!

The facial topology also lends it well to working well with Face & Eye tracking. The best part is that the avatar is already setup out of the box with face tracking fully setup, using VRCFaceTracking for expression tracking. Easily take advantage of your eye, lip, or face tracking setup for VTubing or just to let everyone know what you're eyeing! Every minute facial expression you can make with your face can be tracked onto the avatar!

• Face Tracking support varies from hardware-to-hardware and setup-to-setup. Further elaboration of supported face tracking configurations will be listed under the Face Tracking Support section.

Loads of Customization.

The Leafygotes are designed to be customized to your tastes! Body shape, face shape, horns, fluff, and color are able to be adjusted in-game using the Expression Menu out of the box. Included on the avatar are over 20 different blendshapes for face and body adjustment. The face, horns, and appendages are also rigged for fine-tuning (e.g. for Full Body Tracking)

The Leafygotes encapsulate a nice blend between being expressively cartoony and garnering materialist realism. Pair with the Poiyomi shader to make the materials presentable in most VRChat worlds; with properly setup lighting, the Leafygotes will take advantage of Unity's lighting effectively. Included is the same Substance Painter .spp file used to setup the textures for the Leafygotes, so feel free to make it your own!

Requirements

Using the avatar:

• Basic knowledge of VRChat avatar uploading
  • Unity setup package is included.
• FBX available for other platforms, such as Neos and ChilloutVR.

Using face tracking in VRChat:

• VRCFaceTracking is required for use with VRChat.
  • To use VRCFaceTracking, make sure you have the appropriate hardware and add-on modules for the software in order to take advantage of this avatar's face tracking. See Face Tracking Support for further details.
  • Make sure to enable OSC in your radial menu. The avatar will automatically switch to use face tracking.

You are entitled to the following terms upon becoming a valid owner of the Leafygote avatar base:

You are allowed to do the following:

• Upload Public and/or Private versions of the avatar to VRChat.
  • Would appreciate if the Public versions keep Face Tracking support intact and link back to this Gumroad page in some form. Not a requirement for either however!
• Allow others to make edits to your personal avatar as a free/paid Commission.
  • Distributing assets to a Commissioner for this purpose is allowed, so-long as the Commissioner's purpose is only to perform the edit and not use the avatar base or base assets for any other purpose.

You are NOT allowed to do the following:

• Resell any of the avatar base or base assets on any platform.
• Distribute the avatar base or base assets on any platform.
• Claim ownership of the avatar base or base assets.

Please contact for commercial use outside of the listed use-cases above.
